Birdwatching & Eco Touring From Bayou Sauvage

A cold front in the middle of summer? And in New Orleans?!

It actually happened last week and we had the best time out in the weather on tour.

The birdwatching was spectacular. We enjoyed catching view of local and migratory birds from the Madere Boardwalk in Bayou Sauvage National Wildlife Refuge. This refuge is the largest one right in our backyard.

We were joined by a lovely couple in town from Vancouver, Canada for their very first visit to NOLA! This was a special VIP private tour.

How exciting that our tours are growing with international visits. What we do is so important, and we’re over the moon to share this environment with everyone who pays us a visit.

Education is essential to coastal restoration… and who said it can’t be fun?
